In honor of National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day, the song " Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band comes to mind. So, then I started thinking, Hey! This is a great song sharing their values. As an executive coach personal values are what we discover and use to drive goals.
My focus on the client's self-awareness and WHO they are is just the start.
"Chicken Fried" by Zac Brown Band is a country song that talks about appreciating the simple things in life and finding joy in the little moments. While it may not directly relate to coaching values, it can still offer some insights. Coaching often emphasizes the importance of gratitude and finding happiness in the present moment. In the song, the lyrics express gratitude for things like chicken fried, cold beer on a Friday night, and a Sunday morning with nothin' to do. This can remind us to appreciate the small pleasures in life and find contentment in the present moment. Additionally, the song talks about the value of community and connection. It mentions gathering with friends and family, sharing meals, and enjoying time together. This can align with coaching values that emphasize building strong relationships, fostering a sense of belonging, and creating a supportive community. Overall, while "Chicken Fried" may not directly address coaching values, it can serve as a reminder to appreciate the simple joys in life and value the importance of connection and community.
Hopefully you got to turn the radio on, and eat a little chicken fried. Enjoy this National Day!
