Meet the Coach

Chandler Getzinger - The Coach
Chandler Getzinger

(Deep breath in) I lacked any direction when I was 18. I also needed money to live on my own while I was taking classes at Lonestar Community College. After touring an apartment where the leasing agent seemed happy enough, I decided to apply. It solved my two most immediate problems, money, and housing. Though I spent 4 years climbing the ladder to management, I knew it wasn't going to fulfill me.  So, I used the skills from PM, got my Real Estate License and went back to school at University of Houston Downtown for Business Administration. This career was one of those pivotal moments in my life where I reflect and realized; even though that industry wasn't for me, the sheer knowledge I absorbed about entrepreneurship and myself would completely change my life perspective.

Much later on in life (and a few other jobs I'll skip to shorten this bio) my husband and I decided to start a moving company. I felt I had absorbed enough knowledge and resources to compete in the Houston market, and had it not been for the lack of capital and awful timing with Covid, perhaps that venture would still be successful.

But here is where all those pivots finally lead me here to you...After opening my business, I felt it was important to understand how local legislation would affect my business. So, I got involved with a political action committee that was growing substantially at the time and wanted to offer funding for their members businesses. Part of that loan would require in-house coaching, among other things to minimize risk for the loan. When that action committee offered me the opportunity to coach, it confused me. I had never coached before. I didn't understand what coaching meant, since I had never been coached either! So, I took some meetings and stayed open minded. After hearing about the other coaches’ journeys, listening to their interests and discovering what the job entailed, my interest in becoming a coach flourished. I have always had a natural ability to remain curious and offer people support. So, I enrolled in an amazing program to become an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through Rice University with International Coaching Federalization (ICF). It was like when you stumble upon that one puzzle piece that seamlessly and effortlessly fits into its place, completing the picture. Now with intent, I help people with Eminent Coaching, and my clients help me by giving me a career with purpose!

My Personal Values

I think it is important to know what values are behind your executive coach. These are my value systems that make me who I am and what has driven me to my vision and path in life.
